Zinzan Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 Really interesting development ... some mid market 16-ch pre-pro competition ... I say “mid market” as opposed to 10k storm audio or 20k+ plus Trinnov options

I say “mid market” as opposed to 10k storm audio or 20k+ plus Trinnov options Possibility this is a rethought version of the ATP 16 which has gone missing since being announced early 2018 .. Considering that ATI owns datasat and makes the matching power amps for monoprice. Nope ; scratch that thought ; a reply from ATI on the considerably more expensive ATP from Sanjay Durani who is a regular AVS forum poster as well https://www.avsforum.com/forum/90-receivers-amps-processors/2948888-ati-atp16-16-channels-preamp-processor.html#post57393506 Its good to see the monoprice has discarded many superfluous analogue inputs and to par back a lot of the bells /whistles for whats important like multiple lfe outputs and configurability
powerav Posted January 9, 2019 Posted January 9, 2019 Looks perfect, does anybody in Aus sell Monoprice gear?

Its an online business [ saving money without bricks and mortar stores probably ] https://monopricesupport.kayako.com/article/27-what-countries-does-monoprice-currently-ship-to From what I read they have things like 20% off Black Friday sales but that may be US only ..
MattyW Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Damn, that's a lite model? Just wish there was an easy to use budget 5.1 rack mount model with Dirac Live. I'd love that. Would beat my Tascam PA-R100 senseless with a half decent pro audio power amp.

All the extra channels isn't cheap not to mention the power amps and speakers ; its all a bit like HDMI on upselling Quote Emotiva Audio is in an expansive mood at the CEDIA Expo, launching an AV preamp/processor/tuner with the processing power and expansion ports that will enable it to support 11.5.8 channels of Dolby Atmos surround. MattyW Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 I'll likely make do with my Tascam until it fails. Hard to find affordable rackmount gear 1

If its any consolation its still many months away . I am in a similar position with a cheaper yammie 5100 [ compared to Marantz etc ] while Emo gets their act together The NAD should hold its value well as its still unique at its price point I reckon.. 1
superaaaa Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Has anyone been bought this yet, or been following it since its release? From my brief reading on AVS, it seems the most stable and reliable of the recently released 16 channel processors that are not in Trinnov/StormAudio/Lyngdorf price range (so Emotiva, Arcam, JBL). Tempted to dip my toe in the water, but given I won't have a dedicated theatre room for a couple of years, it will be underutilised........I recently sold my Denon 8400 for that reason.
WasM Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 what a beast. https://www.soundandvision.com/content/monoprice-monolith-htp-1-surround-sound-processor-review 1

WasM Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 If this comes to Oz this is def going under my xmas tree. Emotiva should take a good hard look at themselves.
DTJ Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 It has been a little while since this was discussed. Has anyone in Australia purchased one of these, via the US I assume?
