att23 Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 I only found out online yesterday that one of Sydneysiders favourite record shop is closed permanently! Was thinking of going there this long weekend as I have really enjoyed digging through crates and crates of decent used records from golden era at bargain prices at this shop, not the inflated prices I usually see online, and I have also bought new OOP records from them previously. I think they still travel within NSW and interstate to attend record fairs, but usually that’s quite far away from metropolitan areas, and I saw a lot of record fair advertisements only seem to concentrate on selling popular music genres that I’m often not interested. Any SNAer’s used to go the shop? Or spoken to the owners and have more updates if they will reopen elsewhere? It’s certainly sad news for me...
josh0571 Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 It's a permanent closure from what I hear. Real shame. The owner runs the Glenbrook record fair in the lower Blue Mountains.
hlov Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 Hi mate, it closed last year, I found it when was doing the Newtown record tour as I sold few albums and had some money and was after a Jap press of DSOTM The owner left his mobile on a note on the door for people interested. He had so many good things there, specially British records in great condition and also had a couple of turntables for testing the albums. H
