Citroen Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 SebastiAn - Total, 2xlp "The cover signed by Mondino symbolises the total desire of the creator, the absolute ego of the artist who kisses and devours himself". That really sounds a bit French arty farty to me...but the music makes up for it!

hired goon Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Bola - Soup -- lame puns aside ("bowl of soup", geddit) this was one of me fave electromatronik listens back in the day, lots of melody and ear candy. Sounds excellent streamed via the Spotifies, a nice flat collection of bits coming over the wi-fi, no surface noise at all. --Geoff 2

illbarto Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I'm listening to Blackstar and I'll be damned if it doesn't fit here.
ABG Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Having just spun the new Bowie album, Blackstar (which is really good, but I figured there were enough words being written about him tonight), I streamed an album my youngest son put me on to: Glass Animals - Zaba. If you like Alt-J, The XX or Wild Beasts, this is definitely worth a listen. After my first listen, I don't quite like it enough to rush out and buy the album, but I will give it a few more spins before ultimately deciding. It's available for USD $21 (approx AUD $4,163) from Collectors Choice, so it may yet creep into my next order... 1

Ian McP Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 appearing at Womadelaide 2016 < Detroit’s Marcellus ‘Malik’ Pittman began DJing at college parties in the early 1990s but made his mark after releasing the influential Essential Selections Volume 1. His production work with Rick Wilhite, Theo Parrish and Kenny ‘Moodymann’ Dixon, collectively known as the 3 Chairs, helped define the Detroit sound, which now continues with Malik’s own label, Unirhythm. . New to me, can someone recommend any of his releases?
