Benny G Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 (edited) best thing I have heard/bought in ages, and an outstanding quality pressing. Haven't sat down and really dedicated a good hour to properly listening to an album in a while either. This is really unpredictable, every time I thought something was going to happen it goes off in a different direction. att23 Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Maybe this does not belong here, strictly speaking drum n bass... but still an electronic journey for me. One of his best releases... 1
metal beat Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Gold Panda – Lucky Shiner. always fun when you discover an artist that is new to you, then back track their albums. Gold Panda's first album from 2010 - very nice IDM 2

It is dope tech house/dark ambient. vinyl pressing is excellent. Slow Fade kicked me sideways. Hard. Song For Alpha is a decent culmination. Projector is better served by the former two. 1

hired goon Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Nanosphere - Works -- a collection of glitchy mid-tempo psy trance shiz from Melburnian dude. "Name Yer Price" lossless download from Bandcamp. --Geoff 1
ThirdDrawerDown Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Bits of womad/N'Dour, something that Massive Attack would like, and cinematic ambience. I was confused about which thread to post this in, World? General? Ambient? until I remembered a rubbish track part-way through (there's only one dodgy track on the album, the rest is very good indeed). Anyway, the ability to program a synthesizer does not a song make. 4.5 stars on allmusic. 2

Benny G Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 (edited) a great reissue of this deep house classic from KDJ Moodymann - Silence In The Secret Garden Edited June 7, 2018 by Benny G 2
hired goon Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Boris SG - Assembly II -- Over 100 minutes of big fat Tangerine Dream style sequencers, with Klaus Schulze style keyboard melodies over the top. I'm assuming that this is a compilation of previous works, but it hangs together nicely as an album in its own right. US$5 for the lossless download from Bandcamp. --Geoff 1

hired goon Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 David Elpezs - Secuencias retorcidas y amontonadas -- don't ask me what the Spanish title means, but this is some interesting electronic shiz, a bit Berlin school and a bit cinematic. I quite enjoy the 17 min track with dialogue about a cosmonaut that hears a knocking noise in space (from the movie "Another Earth", I think).
