Good call on The Detroit Escalator @Rrobot. That's a new find for me. Both E.R.P. LPs are well worth checking out.

How about some dub techno for your Friday afternoon:

Hey @jkc91 that's real nice...super deep! Making me want to go back and dig out some rhythm and sound to really get da Friday dub on. ? Bit of a voice coil melter!

Noice. I have the album as a lossless download from Bandcamp (and lots of Steve Hillage / System 7 and Bluetech aka Evan Marc as well)

The first Global Underground release I believe? From the late Tony De Vit.
A lot of my pocket money saved and gone into buying electronic/dance music in my high school days.

Been spinning more vintage Detroit this last week thanks to this thread. It often seems that Kenny Larkin is a bit forgotten among the 2nd Wave Detroit techno producers. His debut album on Warp is a fave of mine though.

They played the whole of this album in Woolies today!

Missing sound of the crowd which is a big no-no, I have HL compliations , but the SACD aspect has me intrigued.

Have not heard this compilation, but do have the SACD of ‘DARE’ and it is excellent. One can enjoy the true spit and fizz of those ancient synths, unlike the CD which tends to smooth it out. The SACD also allows much winding of the wick.

Finally free of his record label restrictions Roberto Concina released his third, and most radical album, Organik. Took me a long time to 'get it' and to get into it, but once I did realised this is a great album. A real fusion album and a far cry from his most famous hit Children.
