Michael Jones Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Kelly Waterman, Axent Audio owner, is clearing out some (at least) of the items in his fabled storage area. Lots and lots of goodies available. The auction will be over two days - Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 of August, with viewing on the Friday. A catalogue will be available on August 13. There is a little more information on Axent's web site.

Quad IIs, Garrard 301, SME 3012, Leak TL12 Plus's, Quad ESL57s, Wharfedale 3-way cabinets, Altec drivers, Linn LP12, Maggie SMGAs, AR3a, Revox/Ferrograph/Teac reel-to-reels, B&W DM2's, huge qtys of NOS electronic components/hardware,........... 1200 lots! I put in a few bids for some obscure bits, will let you know if I got lucky Cheers, Owen
Beeman Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Came away with a very nice Thorens TD124 - Goodmans speakers - 4 x KT66 for $24.00 - 4 x reel to reel players including a GEC valve powered unit that worked fine until the transformer caught fire a valve tester and for good measure scored the amazing 70s JBL studio monitors (including legendary horn midrange & 15" bass) from in the showroom. All in all a crazy weekend. Kelly will be missed!
tigi Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Kelly will be missed What's happening with Kelly? can you post a pic of those JBL's.... is it the one I saw in the showroom....? that was a beautiful speaker...
Owen Y Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 I believe that the Axent business will eventually be on the market. Kelly is just moving on, to other pastures, I understand. Owen
Raston1553552680 Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 That's a shame, good guy and a wealth of experience.
