Zaphod Beeblebrox Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Hmmm.......if this is fact, TacTaudio are indulging in fairly blatant false advertising. They state "No negative feedback at all" in relation to their digital power amplifiers which are based on Equibit technology. I understand there is a new NAD amp that is similar - I haven't yet checked if they make similar claims.Cheers Tony I don't have a schematic for the Tact or the NAD, but they will contain NFB in some form. They may not use Global NFB, but they will use some form of NFB somewhere in the product. It is not unusual for manufacturers to 'economise with the facts' by claiming zero NFB. SET amplifiers are regularly claimed to be 'zero NFB', yet they always contain some form of NFB, somewhere. FWIW: A Cathode (or emitter) resistor is a form of NFB.
LogicprObe Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I think that shoving electrons through a vacuum sounds better than shoving them through a block of silicon..............yes, I do!
