actual photos didn't look like the Q950 :)

They are iq90 by the looks, great speakers and probably worth about the asking price but no Bargain to see here.

Amazing how the guy doesn't know what he owns.

When I looked at the listing, it was for a pair of Q950 with 1 stock photo of said item.

Shock horror when I looked at the listing now - a pair of iQ90 with a different (correct) stock photo and 2 actual photos. WTF!

Unfortunate!

but you have, today (?), realised the world we live in

take everything you are told/on the net as "make believe" until you have checked the details.

Fortunately this mostly (not always :) ) is not the case here on SNA .

While not a screaming bargain it's some what of a good buy. The original vertically aligned alnico L100. You never see the first iteration for sale and if you're a collector these are the ones to get.

This guy does a lot of business on Gumtree - I see his ads often. Gear ranges from okay-ish to "how the hell did he come across that"?

He's doesn't seem to be a flipper, though. I get the feeling he imports things through some connection he has, plays with them for a bit, and moves them on. They're never priced like he's in a hurry, but they're not ludicrous either. From memory he's had some nice Accuphase and Diatone in the past.

I spoke to him years back and he seemed like a good guy. I don't think you could import those speakers from the main markets, US or Japan for that money. The original L100 are doing nothing but appreciating in value and everyone knows it.

He has contacts in Japan. I've bought a couple of things off him. Just make sure you know what your buying and go through it with a fine tooth comb.

OK valve aficionados here is one for you. 3 x old skool Westrex / AE 240 KT66 units in Armdale WA available for auction on eBay. The grey coated KT66 toobs on the 3 units alone are worth more than the amps themselves. The iron is also worth salvaging.

Can someone please share the glass bottle pulls with me. ?

Lovely bloke. Been to his place once and I was like a kid in a candy store. His collection is quite amazing. Happy to hear that he's back in business.

FYI this ad for ZMF Aeolus for $1100 is a scam, I expected it to be so but just wanted to make sure I didn't miss a bargain:
https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-view-details.html?adId=1269514944

Below is my chat with the seller, was trying to suss it out. Very obvious hes trying to get me to pay first and pretend to ship it haha..

FYI I have reported his ad to gumtree.
