Tony M Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Thank you for the generous offer of the wine, and it is appreciated; however I offered to assist because I wanted too; and you never know, I may require something from someone in another state myself one day. Yep, I understand that, Minty. But I would still like to introduce you and Graham to Claymore's "Dark Side of the Moon" so I feel I've at least made a token gesture of appreciation to you both. Anyway, bags are packed, now.
patjoy Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I'll be there Friday. Got son's 21st on Saturday; Clean up on Sunday
proftournesol Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I'll be there Friday. Got son's 21st on Saturday; Clean up on Sunday no derby on Saturday night then patjoy? Tut tut:)
joz Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Does this mean the first day visit will be discounted, and full rate thereafter? Ooh, I thought buy one eticket for the three days. But what ever it is it is.
patjoy Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 no derby on Saturday night then patjoy? Tut tut:) Don't remind me - but the foxtel will be on in the "background"
atavid Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Hopefully going Saturday, and maybe Sunday again if I don't get to hear/see it all.that's assuming I get to Melbourne at all,I'm booked with qantas....gulp
Milo Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Does this mean the first day visit will be discounted, and full rate thereafter? The e-ticket thing doesn't seem very clear to me. I wasn't sure either, whether the e-ticket meant you could attend more than once on the discount. From what I can fathom, the deal is (in exchange for your info), you print out an e-ticket which enables you the to pay $15 for a ticket (instead of $20), paid at the door. And, that is for "one entry". I take it that if you want to go on more than 1 day, you pay a full price ticket. If you're bring a friend/partner then you would need 1 e-ticket each. If anyone has any other clarification please share it with us.
Guest 322 Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I'll be there on Satdi.... after going to Motorclassica in the morning
davidsss Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Haven't decided. Maybe we could meet up there at a particular time and place. DS

Spearmint Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Macca posted this info on DTV "Just a word of warning, there might be some crowding around the lifts........and there's no stairs"
Gee Emm Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Macca posted this info on DTV"Just a word of warning, there might be some crowding around the lifts........and there's no stairs" In case of fire, do not use lifts. That could be interesting. There must be stairs somewhere!? But Macca would've looked I 'm sure.
cheekyboy Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I'm looking at the floor plan printed in the Australian HI FI magazine and it clearly shows two stairwells at the far end of each floor. They could not have an occupied building/hotel without having stairwells or fire escape in place. Cheers, Keith

Cheers
cheekyboy Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Theres a stairwell at the north end of the floors ,much quicker than the lift's .There also could be one at the south ends .Cheers Yeah, thanks Mal. The floorplan I'm looking at doesn't show orientation of the floor, but it does clearly show two stairwells, one closer to the liftwell than the other. I don't know who Macca is, but he does seem to have some cred with members here........alas, not in this regard me thinks. Cheers, Keith
Spearmint Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Good news they have stairs available and not just fire exits. Yeah, thanks Mal.
