Hi to all

I have some questions regarding selling some of my movies on this thread/forum.

What is the best way to go about the transactions and postage?

Do you guys receive payment before postage of movies?

What is the best/safest/convienent way to receive payments for the goods?

I notice that most send via plain enevelope - what is the cost involved?

How safe is that method and what guarentees are there for the purchaser that it is going to actually arrive and if not what do you guys do to settle the issue?

How do you go about postage for mutiple purchases - send them all singular or other method?

Sorry for all the questions but wanting to make sure that i set this up correctly so that purchasers and myself have hassle free transactions.

PM the buyer your bank account or PayPal details. If they're using PayPal remind them to use the gift option so no fees are involved.

Yes payment before dispatch.

PayPal gift or Direct Deposit is the safest imo.

It costs about $1.80 for a large letter + the cost of the envelope, you may be able to get a cheap bulk rate from officeworks or online.

Probably not the safest, using a padded bag is much safer or an Australia Post Tough Bag (made of cardboard) which offer a lot more protection, there are no guarantees to the purchaser of delivery unless you option up to registered post which is about additional $3.00. In the 5 years I've been selling and trading online via gaming/bluray forums and eBay I have never had an issue, and I usually use normal post 9 times out of 10.

You can chuck them into a satchel, but make sure you bubble wrap the stack all together otherwise they will most likely get damaged. You can also use eBay flat rate boxes to send multiple blus. An additional advantage is that it is a box and offers the most protection and includes tracking and you can option registered (signature on delivery) for $1.00. This works out the cheapest to send multiple blu's and is the best option overall. It is a self service, print and pay for the label online, print if off, package the item and go to your post office buy the box and lodge the item. To save more time, just buy several boxes from AusPost and have it ready for sales. You don't need to lodge it at a post office, you can chuck it in a post box but you won't get a receipt of lodgement or that part of the journey on the tracking system. There are 3 sized of boxes available.

The less you deal with AusPost the happier you will be, lines get LOOOOOOOOONG!, alot of people paying their bills, getting passports done etc. You'll need to find which one in your area is the least busiest. I find shopping centres to busy most of the time, and the independent Aus Posts are a lot less busy.

Pro Tip: Place a square piece of bubble wrap over the disc, so in the case the disc dislodges from the spindle in the case it doesn't start shaking around while being delivered, causing potential scratches.

Anyway I think I've covered everything.

It seems easier if you trade your version 3D/2D for a 2D version.
