Can confirm the Pimax Crystal Light is amazing! The immersion is just next level and really adds to the realism. I had no problems wearing glasses with the headset, but ordered prescription lenses anyway just for convenience.

Only issue I have now is the adjustment dial on the back of the headset being bulky, and fouling on the F1 seating position of my cockpit. Will look into how that might be able to be helped.

My lap times actually got faster and the ability to look at and focus on apexs made a massive difference.

Great to hear. My experience has been thwarted so far. I purchased the unit outright prior to them releasing "Pimax Prime" and somehow they've forgotten to add my purchase to my account so want about $400 odd to unlock the headset.. Support team are all out for CNY..

Maybe I'll be allowed to use it next week..

Oh that sucks. I got mine (almost) next day from Amazon, and then just paid the unlock.
It didn't really add anything at all, not sure why the additional payment is even a "thing".

Turns out mine is subject to Pimax Prime and I missed it. Time to pay up and start using it I guess..

How did you go? I'm absolutely loving the Crystal Light. It's a game changer (literally) for sim racing. I could never go back now.

Having a few issues with the tracking actually. When it works it's awesome and agree its a game changer. A massive step up over the Quest headset, but out of 4 hours invested I think I've driven about 20 mins so it's been a frustrating time..

Lighting seemed to affect the tracking ability - the headset seemed to lose itself repeatedly until I got the lights sorted out. The recent update to AC Evo seems to have broken it - jerky and can't keep position - but as it's an early release I'm guessing this will be fixed with future updates.

Specs of my machine are a Ryzen 9, 64GB ram and a 3080ti - should be ok for most things, but perhaps not enough for AC Evo.

Currently looking to see if I can run two video cards in my machine as the motherboard says it can - a 4090 for VR and the old 3080ti for everything else. Getting hands on a 5080 or 5090 card seems impossible.

What specs/games are you using?

Hopefully with all this sim stuff I'll be able to get back to the real thing sometime next year..

From the Creventic Porsche 12hrs of Spa. We qualified at the back, but worked our way up to 4th place in class by the finish line. Made it home without a scratch on the car - unfortunately only 2 seconds off a podium!

I have the Crystal Light - which does not have tracking, yes?

I'm running an i9, with 64Gb Ram, and 4070 Ti. No issues at all.
But from what I have read on the forums the 3080 Ti should do it if you're not pushing everything up res and texture wise. I am speaking from F1 though, where I spent 3 days tweaking before I could even get into a race without a crash. That said, F1 is notoriously crap at natively handling VR. AC is meant to be much more accomodating.

I'm desperately trying to get a 50XX at the moment, though short of buying an off the shelf gaming PC for the card and selling the rest, I'm also out of luck!

Hadn't thought about the dual card thing. Could you test that theory by disconnecting the monitor?
