ThirdDrawerDown Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 (edited) Bands not artists. Irrelevant post deleted Edited January 23, 2020 by ThirdDrawerDown

This list doesn't, therefore it's dubious. I see it's a "rivers of money" list. In which case, Rolf Harris should be in the top ten too. He's up there with the Beegees as defining what Australia means to the world, musically speaking. You do realise as crap as the List is it's for Bands/Groups. Last time I checked Melba & Harris wern';t. 1

Guest deanB Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 Any best of list that includes Powderfinger is seriously flawed. They are the Australian equivalent of Coldplay.

Since joining Rose Tattoo he's moved back to Sydney..............hence his contact with the Finch old boys. 3 hours ago, deanB said: Any best of list that includes Powderfinger is seriously flawed. (even the mention of Coldplay makes me shiver.........)

bob_m_54 Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 (edited) Most were popular pop songs, there were maybe a couple that were good stuff worth recognising. Edit: I should explain my phrase "popular pop song". It's like XXXX Gold compared to beer. Edited June 9, 2020 by bob_m_54 2
t_mike Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 There's a whole chunk of late 60s-mid 70s music missing from that lot. Obviously the authors have short memories (or short lives). 1
