Glad I crossed the street to checkout this record shop

Altec speakers so big they were on wheels

Marantz amp because the Altec amp wasn’t working

Should have taken a photo

But as a film it doesn’t cut it

Maybe part 2 will make it better but at the moment it seems more like a streaming series

Not only don’t they make movies like they used to but they don’t even make the posters like they used to

I normally buy Baker Bleu croissants. But I must try a Lune croissant some time. There is a new Lune croissantery not far from me also

A month or so after I saw an impossibly young Alain Delon in The Samurai he died

88 years ( I think)

I haven't seen Le Samourai @keyse1. My first memory of Delon was in this movie.

Every time I come to Melbourne I get to see something incredible 

Today it was Citizen Kane 

Loosely based on William Randolph Hearst (think the original prototype  for Murdoch and his gutter press)

According to Gore Vidal the mystery at the heart of Citizen Kane ie the meaning of Kanes last word rosebud spoken on his deathbed was Hearst’s name for a certain part of the anatomy of his mistress)

No wonder Hearst hated him

On Sunday I hope it’s Coppola’s The Conversation 

Next week The Seven Samurai

He didn't even get his name on the cover but a photo inside as the author.

On a repress they put his name on the cover after The Smiths became famous.

 

This is a first edition.

I've seen photos of James Dean's decapitated body. So if they faked it, it was a bloody good fake!
