April Snow Posted April 25, 2020 Author Posted April 25, 2020 Madonna American Life Europe 2003 This was an album that was under appreciated by me in 2003 but it seems more relevant today than at that time and one I love very much now. I have the DJ remixes of the single "American Life" with Missy Elliott, they are awesome too. But I am a Remix Junkie so that is no great revelation I guess 6
metal beat Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 This week just may be a Gorillaz week - 3rd time I have played this in 2 days. gets better on every listen. 3

Janjuggler Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Hi All, This week I have picked an electronic album by Ott, Skylon as my album of the week. It was an album released in the late 2012, with a smallish batch of LPs pressed, I was able to get a CD initially. There have been a couple of re-pressings since then, Kickstarter had one about late 2017, but again a limited pressing and I missed out, now there has been another small pressing available for a few months on Bandcamp and I was able to get a copy. You can also stream to the album on Bandcamp. JJ 3
hlov Posted May 10, 2020 Posted May 10, 2020 My FOTW was Herbie Hancock - Round midnight OST, great musicians and excellent jazz music. 2

Janjuggler Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 Hi All, Tomita, Firebird. Released in 1975 by Japanese musician Isao Tomita, it was a time of electronic experimentation. and Stravinsky's Firebird Suite, was a grand experiment in translating a full orchestral piece into a piece for synthesizers. hlov Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 I have been listening to this a lot recently, my old man gave me this album and remember that he used to played it when I was a kid. Indios Tabajaras - Maria Elena 1
Grimmie Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 (edited) Love this label. Ninja Tune have been behind so much of the best modern music for the last 30 years and this 6-LP collection has a fantastic array of their best from 1990 to 2000. I bought this for a song at a record fair in the now defunct Flying Scotsman pub many moons ago and is undoubtedly my 'best ever' vinyl buy. In mostly NM condition I count myself very lucky to own this. It's my album of the week every now and then, and this week is honoured to have it. Edited June 8, 2020 by Grimmie 1
Janjuggler Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Hi All, The past week the Favourite Album would have to be 'Electric Castle, Live' by Ayreon, Space Rock at its best and a great group of performers and musicians. JJ 5
KRSDarwin Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 This week I have stumbled across Sonny Clark and have had the following on heavy rotation. Great jazz and great quality pressing. I also like the album artwork. Sonny Clark, Cool Struttin’ 1
hlov Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 American Pop Music from the Motion picture soundtrack, amazing selection of great songs. The side B is my favourite as the songs blend nicely, it starts with Hendrix and finishes with the Doors and have The Dave Brubeck Quartet in between. 2

From Bandcamp : - This fusion makes music very multifarious: from meditative ancient mantras to psychedelic circus with constantly changing mood. April Snow Posted January 31, 2021 Author Posted January 31, 2021 Harry Styles Fine Line 2019 US This was recommended to me due to it being a superb pressing and it sure did not disappoint. I am not a 1D fan and had not really paid any attention to Harry, but have to say that this is a brilliant album and did not disappoint. Everything about it is perfection and the pressing is flawless. I am totally loving this one. 5
