I just wanted to slightly derail this thread to say a big thank you to those that responded to easily the most depressing post ive ever put on SNA. Your condolences have truly helped ease the pain  from the enormous grief and pain from my loss.

I've posted this before but ...

Stanley Man occupying the single chair in our Airbnb just off the coast near Cardigan in South West Wales. Listening to Lissie's "When I'm Alone: The Piano Retrospective" on an Ultimate Ears Boom 3 Bluetooth Speaker. Not quite hi-fi, but with a glass of nice wine in hand and the wood burner glowing after a day of walking on the beach here and along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, it takes some beating.

Looking forward to retirement in the next 3 or 4 years so that I can spend a lot more time walking and hanging out with my bestie.

Couldn't stand it any longer as i was missing my old dog like crazy so picked up this 1.5yo German Shepherd that desperately needed to be re-homed and he's been the tonic ive been looking for. Say hello to Max.

Hi Max!

I'm sure you're enjoying hanging out with @tubularbells !

Hi Doug,

cherish your memories of Panzer - you will never forget the part Panzer played in your life!

This Friday 10 Mar 23 is 1 year since our gorgeous boy Joel passed.

Joel loved to hang out with us listening to tunes.

We were also hurting after Joel's passing and rescued another greyhound - this cheeky bugger - Jasper

There's a saying in the greyhound owner's community, "get a greyhound, lose a couch"!...

...the photo is saying, "c'mon dad, there's other seats you can use" - so I sat next to him, then he laid his head down across the seats for a pat...we love Jasper to bits...

...but we will always remember Joel!

cheers,

Mike

She's a lucky girl. BTW: That house (or at least that room) looks like it doesn't belong in a suburban setting....spectacular!👌

Speaking of fireplaces, it is almost cold enough here today to light ours. Mrs Godot is in Morocco (also cold and wet today!) which means my lap is highly sought after. Oreo was in the zone until Byron’s passive aggressive death stare saw him off.

There is a lot of love evident in this thread. It fills my heart to see.

I couldn't agree more and this thread is always a great daily tonic.:thumb:Below is a Mo Pitney song that tugs a little at the heart strings, but it has that same sentiment throughout.
