It is fascinating which of our cats like what music. Byron and Grace join me for a listen to Sarah Blasko’s latest album, “I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain”. We all love it!

Cat-fi - but really his disdain for Klipsch is obvious, it serves as an overpriced launch pad. Upgrade time? 🤔

I have owned the CD for a few years but had to get the LP on release , glad I did, lovely quality and what a fabulous album.

We moan about our weather this time of year, 7 1/2 hours of daylight, cold and often wet with little sunshine. Indeed as I listened to this earlier today another storm is imminent. However, I think because of our climate come songs which have such resonance, "Weathercock" being a fine example.

Not sure if Bertie was chilling out to the fine music or unimpressed, the former I hope.

Having said that I love it when my boy decides to sleep against me.

Looking forward to seeing Kate Rusby's Christmas show on December 11. I have seen her live 3 times before, always fabulous and the Christmas shows are meant to be extra special.

So, a little earlier to get me in the mood:

I’ve retreated to the music room in frustration, from such a good position, average cricket…

I'd say it was still Australia's day, 60/40.

As a neutral (I'm a Brit living in exile for the last 25 years), coming into this series I was really looking forward to it from that impartial perspective. Loved India winning the first Test, loved the fight-back in Adelaide, found Brisbane frustrating; but today, 2 Ks made me actually barrack for Australia for the first time ever: K for Konstas - what a talent, what fun, fantastic temperament dealing with the media after too; and K for Kohli - why does he need to be such a dickhead? I thought he had gotten past this. But for the BCCI and their influence, Kohli ought to be going home early after this Test. Doubtless justice will be given a bribe to look the other way.

As for Alfred, he did watch the England in NZ Tests a couple of weeks ago and is a declared Harry Brook fan. He has taste, obviously.

Yes, still Australia's day overall.👍

Kohli will probably just get a BS fine but yeah, for an experienced former national captain, he can be a petulant child at times.
