Just about anything else you could imagine. Better speaker and IC cable, dining out with friends, future holidays, new clothes, fine wines ,whisky or a hundred-and-one things that will bring you joy and happiness. 3 1

Hi Russ, sorry you will be waiting a while the XOT’s are back in my system, Mike won’t be measuring them until he is measuring a pair of speakers. As for measurements why would that change what Mike found by listening to them? The fact is he, like others, is intrigued how these things work, but in reality it is how they sound in your system that matters. As for the comments inferring that hardly anyone has heard any difference with these fitted, well that is not correct. Those SNA members whom so far that have heard a difference and put their names to it are, Myself, Cafad Scumbag Chimchimster FredNork BAM Mike Lenehan and several QAC members who are not SNA members. but others have not, what that means and why who knows? Yes it would/will be interesting when he does, but as he told me it takes him over an hour to set up a test and then longer to do it, so while he is interested in finding out how these work it will have to wait until he is measuring some speakers. But again he described the differences he heard in back to back listening so that is surely more important than how they measure? It is often said that owners having paid money are more likely to hear differences in components than those who have no skin in the game. So in this instance Mike is at the least a neutral observer, he has no skin in the game when it comes to the ownership of the XOT’s and as far as I know nor has he any preconceived stated opinions/dislikes about the brand that supplies them. Luc Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Plugged into my speakers and running my streamer and going through an assortment of file types I couldn't discern any changes at all. So after chatting with the staff at a new local HiFi store here who had not heard of the XOT's or their parent company they asked if they could borrow them for a few days and run them through their systems. They were keen to try them, with a view to maybe stocking them in their shop. Various Dynaudio models and PMC's and Monitor Audio and KEF's were trialled and different front ends that only a store could provide. They heard no changes whatsoever across this large range of gear and in the PMC's case, one staff member felt the bass extension was actually degraded with the XOT's in place. So the upshot is that you'd have to put me in the I didn't hear a change camp on this. 6

The top of the range Dyn's are in there for instance. The whole shop is rather good for listening, I've certainly heard worse in some of the well known shops in Melb for instance. They're clearing out some stuff at the moment. Monitor Audio - Platinum PL300 II 10hours on them, taken out of box for demo and boxed back up $13k delivered. ($20k rrp). I'm heading back down to listen to the Dyn's to see if I can sniff out a bargain for a Dyn tragic I know. 1

Will they reduce the price any further if you offer to take some XOTs off their hands 1

I have been in the rabbit hole with SR products currently and would be interested to see how these XOT work in my system along in conjunction with the existing SR products.
