Pioneer pl-l1000 Cart

Hi all 

I have just purchased a pioneer pl-l1000. 

 

My question is if you have owned one or do own one. 

What cartridge did you run with? Or recommend?

 have owned 2 of these,one i bought new,i used a few different cartridges,garrott bros ,ortofon mc30.sonus bluenfidelity research,they all worked well,being a tangential arm most cartridges should work fine,the thing is with these turntables is to set it up level,they originally came with a small square bubble level which was placed on the 2 paralle steel rods that the arm travelles on,making sure it is level in both planes,if yours is in full working condition you will have fun with this turntable,if i was still into vinyl i would have another one of these,i hope someone else with experience with the pioneer chimes in with some recommendations for you,

It's like new apart from the non original headshell. 

But I have found a original and purchased. 

Just waiting for it to arrive.

I have a Yamaha PX-2 which needs a little attention. But yeah, gotta love tangential turntables.
