Maybe I shoulda ordered two, and sold one to cover the total price of both.

It crossed my mind to do the same, actually :)

Really enjoying new Beach House probably more than Teen Dream which I loved.

And the vinyl is up for album cover of the year with its bright cherry red suede cover.

Yep, there should only be one spinning thread IMO.

I'm beginning to come around to your way of thinking, Jake. There's too many of them to remember!

Thanks for the link Geoff, I was watching that auction as well. I'll order from Sandman shortly...

I did come across this one yesterday, and placed an order:

Edit: something's not right on either Sandman's site or Paypal... tried to buy James Freud as well, but can't pay for it.

Managed to get Machinations, at least.

Great score. I think I paid $20 for mine.

Moby - Play (via streamer), before deciding to pre-order the LP.

Its well worth the price on vinyl.   excellent album

Models - Local and or General.  Original Aussie pressing 1982- sounds excellent.  Never realised Anton Corbijn did the photography.

V. Spy V. Spy - Spy File -- compilation

Uncanny X-Men - What You Give Is What You Get -- very naff, good for a larf.

Various - Stairways To Heaven -- over 20 versions of Stairway To Heaven, including arrangements in the style of The Beatles, The Doors, The B-52s, etc. And of course the Rolf version.

All on CD.

Jean-Michel Jarre: Zoolook

West German Polydor vinyl pressing.

I found this in a second hand store this morning for $6.00, a bit of a tatty cover, but the vinyl looked clean though dusty. A quick clean and onto the platter. Sounds excellent. I half expected it to sound great as my vinyl Polydor copy of Oxygene is a reference quality record in my household.

And I hadn't heard this one before, shame on me.

Side 1 is me fave. Side 2 ... is okay, not as good as Side 1 ... but there's vocal samples a-plenty.

One of our countries great musicians, and I always enjoy listening to his albums. The sheila on the cover was his girlfriend at the time, have no idea whether they are still together.

This one only ever had a CD release, as far as I am aware.

This is how Stephen explains the record:

“Space Travel is my 13th proper full-length album. We recorded it over a series of short sessions in Yarraville with Bill McDonald, Billy Miller, Peter and Dan Luscombe. Shane O’Mara mixed the album back in his Yikesville studio and spa. The songs were written mostly during the summer of ’06. I don’t want to go into too much detail about the songs, but I will point out that there are my usual themes of forgiveness and ******* up.â€
