soundfan Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) Robert Forster: Songs To Play I can't get enough of this great new Robert Forster album. Recorded in analog in beautiful Mt Nebo up here on the outskirts of Brisbane. I'm impatiently awaiting the vinyl version which was pressed in Germany. Not too fussed on the album cover though. And for Brissy fans, Forster is playing at The Triffid in November. Edited September 21, 2015 by soundfan 6
caddisgeek Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Uncle Acid - The Night Creeper Doomy, psychedelic and a little bit glam? Could be my album of the year
soundfan Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Thurston Moore: Psychic Heart I can't believe that I have no Sonic Youth or Thurston Moore albums in my collection. Have heard a lot of Sonic Youth over the years, but none of his solo work. Will have to rectify that asap. And the Thurston Moore Band are touring in a couple of months too. I'm liking this a lot: 6
Jesco Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Japan - Adolescent Sex When this was released, I was about 14 y/o and loved it. Time passed by and David Sylvian adopted a different singing style (in hindsight a good thing), as although I like his vocals on this album it had a limited scope, in my opinion, and subsequent albums probably wouldn't have the appeal they have now. That said, I like to play this album from time to time now, it does have some decent tracks.
Guest Muon Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I used to like Japan back in the day, i should pick up something from them Now playing

Jesco Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Arrived in the mail today. I really bought it so I have a lossless copy of the track 'crash' (which is actually a Tuxedomoon track rather than just Blaine's work).Spinning it for the first time as I type this. (apologies for the poor SQ) 1
soundfan Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I have 2 vinyl copies of this great Dylan album Both 1969 CBS pressings, but one was pressed here and the other in South Africa. Orange labels. I tried to A/B to see which one I preferred just now, but really couldn't split them. If only the Bob Dylan Mono Box contained the next album released in his catalog, this would have been the one. Reckon it'd be sweet in mono. 4
Guest Willow Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 TISM - Great Truckin' Songs of the Renaissance It has just dawned on me that perhaps the masked marauders weren't exactly looking at commercially successful avenues with this one. Jess Ribeiro - Kill it Yourself New stock with Mick Harvey collaborating , bit of a Hope Sandoval feel to it.
ZEN MISTER Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Love this guy. Great album. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_-EPICSuxQ it's funny how ones choice of cover art, may suggest what you have been listening to lately... ZM. 3
ZEN MISTER Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Indeed!! My flugelhorn is throbbing at the very thought of it all! Billy. 1
