frankn Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 MQA, as long as there is no filtering and circuit is completely bypassed when MQA flag is not present I don’t think it matters. Being able to completely disable it would be nice. Companies have to allow access to technology consumers say they want to stay in business. 1
frankn Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 The latest update says added option to download purchased music from Qobuz. That sounded a great idea to me as I thought it would save me copying files from my laptop to usb stick and adding to the Zenith. In Sense, I can now see the music I have purchased via Qobuz - great, but how do I download onto my Zenith? Or, am I misunderstanding what Innuos meant by download? Any advice/pointers appreciated.

Will have a play with this on my unit when I get home and see if there is a way (or not as the case may be!) 1

This is why Innuos has been forced by stealth to include MQA on their products. I completely understand the commercial reality that they face, but insidious companies like that behind MQA are masters at actually creating a product which nobody needed or wanted. It was driven by untruthful and questionable marketing campaigns that somehow have been very effective and created a proprietary scam that people now think they want/need. Clever evil.

option-up Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 @frankn, the Sense app explains it pretty well, actually. No, it doesn't download purchased files onto your HD, it just makes streamed versions of those files show up in the library. 1
option-up Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Actually, that's not right. Since that info note in the app still mentions a Download option, I investigated further. You can download purchased music, but only track by track (not the whole album at a time, it seems). See the last option in the screenshot below. 1
Hydrology Posted February 12, 2023 Author Posted February 12, 2023 To concur with what @option-up says above, here is Innuos' top man explaining 1 1
lebowski Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Downloaded latest firmware and now my Zen Mk3 won’t play Radio Paradise. Only way now is to cut and paste the URL’S, not ideal. So lost radio streaming functionality in this version, hope it’s fixed with an update soon.

lebowski Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 actually not functioning 100%. Update doesn’t allow pause and track skip with Radio Paradise. 1

Thelastjedi Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Recently I have upgraded my innuos zen mk2 to the current version 2.3.2 and it seems now it isnt able to play dsd files properly. When I try to play any dsd files, it comes through very squeaky and distorted but when I play normal flac files or stream through tidal there is no issue. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I think this has been successfully answered on the FB Innuos forum - the update changed the Innuos DSD preference setting, all good after a customer reset. 2
ACAUS Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Hi there Considering a zen mk3 as a roon core plugged into a streamer that’s in my integrated. It would mainly be used for both server music and streaming qobuz/tidal. Has anyone had experience with this? If I am just using it as a core/server then should I just get a zen mini mk3 instead with LPS, with the ssd. thanks

Take full advantage of what the Zen can do as both hardware and software. 1
ACAUS Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 I don’t have a usb input to stream from in that streamer. So I have to use innuos over Ethernet. 1
Kinsella Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 It sounds like you're considering using the Innuos as a stand alone server, that your amps streamer then pull files from. Not sure it works that way. I think you can connect a stand alone streamer to the Innuos via ethernet that is then sent to a DAC via the Innuos USB output. My advice would also be to use the Innuos as server and streamer. They are excellent streamers. Just take the USB Innuos output to your DAC.

Kirby66 Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Hi team Innuos, I am about to upgrade from Zen MK3 to Zenith MK3 ... yay for me !!! I wonder if anyone has loaded a back up from one Innuos to another and if so is it just a matter of connecting the back up HD to the new machine and using the "restore back up" function? Thanks in advance for any help
Peter Zapp Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 I inserted the Phoenix USB to my rather moderate set up, comprising Zen Mini Mk2 with Keces P3 (16V, 3A) and RME ADI-2 DAC FS. I second the previous observations. The improvements are obvious. No need for hours of AB-comparison. As a former user of Apple Music I was curious whether the Phoenix USB does magic to more profane sources, for example an iOS device. It doesn't. The Phoenix USB's previous owner upgraded to a PS Audio streamer with integrated DAC. He told me he could no longer hear an improvement (with his old DAC). The Zen Mini Mk2 lacks the Mk3's integrated DAC, coaxial and optical S/PDIF outputs (for better sound quality, as explained in the old brochure), but for the offered price it was a no brainer. 3
