Further information:

Current model RRP approx Australian $3300 landed from USA with freight and GST.  This is quite a large heavy amplifier weighs approx 70lb.  It is the Stratos Stereo Extreme model with the extra capacitors, better resistors and extra transformer.  150 watts per channel 8 ohms and stable into 2 ohms.  60 amps current delivery.  It is made under license by Odyssey as a clone of Symphonic Line amplifier designs.  This is a nice reliable heavy duty amplifier which sounds good.  There is further information on the net.  Pick up and pay cash, don't want to post.

Great amp. I have the smaller Cyclops with resistor upgrade and it sounds fantastic. These use four of the nice, large Sanken ring emitter devices per channel that both sound great and are ballsy enough to drive difficult loads. I would describe mine as slightly warm sounding through the mids (and in fact Klaus, the chap that produces them in the US, has mentioned that his amps are "voiced" to that end.) They have been through long production and are very reliable units. Mine has seen off some nice amps including an Accuphase P11, a Symfonia and several other very nice sounding and well made machines. It behaves in exemplary fashion with no turn on/turn off thumps, hums buzzes or other things you sometimes get with boutique (and some full commercial designs). It also uses serviceable through-hole construction so that when your children finally have it passed down to them it will still be repairable.. unlike many other killobuck buys. This will make someone very happy.

Great sounding amp, I went through a number of amps before staying with this model running ATC SCM19 passives, I find it a great match. Good current to drive the neutral 19's.
