Mr_Gadget Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Hi, I have a Sony Z9D tv and just noticed the input info bar (see photo) randomly pops up when I put on a movie via my Panasonic 4k player. It's very annoying and can only think that the recent software update on the tv has caused this. Any ideas on a cure?
Mr_Gadget Posted December 4, 2020 Author Posted December 4, 2020 I think I fixed it, turned off a setting on the tv. Will reply back here with specific setting later.

Guest Crystara Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Don’t you love it when you talk to yourself and fix the problem
Guest Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 We also have a Sony 75" with the same problem. For us, it was when watching FetchTV. We have the Fetch set to 4K output, but as it's dynamically set (that is, Fetch will drop resolution according to bandwidth available) it would display the Info banner as the resolution changed. It was infuriating while watching TV. You must be running the latest firmware as the option to turn the Info banner off was only recently introduced, and prior to that was the bugbear of Sony TV owners (myself included!).
Mr_Gadget Posted February 27, 2021 Author Posted February 27, 2021 I only started to have the problem after I updated to the latest firmware. Glad I found the option to turn it off. 1

Same here we have fetch, what I’ve been doing is turning everything off when it does it repeatedly by itself. Then it’s good to go. I’ll turn it off in the settings
