Nascent cable lifters in their native state acquiring the necessary 'stuff' prior to harvesting and packaging.

Rarely seen in their raw state. I heard through a friend that there might be a herd of them out on a farm so I set up a hide in the bushes and waited.

They're timid at this early stage in their lives but even this young they're already masters of disguise and you hardly notice them at all in their environment. This is your young 14 awg lifter attached to 6 gauge wire quietly growing and filling up on 'stuff'

IMG_20201209_162618051_HDR.thumb.jpg.87f4db37d6acf6b72011b466634f0005.jpg

Which is what you want isn't it at the end of the day. Just a nice row of them all lifting their weight... No leaners just lifters is what your after.

And you don't want them to dominate your room so that when you have people visiting they're going..wtf are those things ffs !!!

No no, under stated competence is what your looking for. Not seen but aural difference heard.

They acquire their holes in early adolescence just like this 14 awg lifter basking in the late afternoon sun

IMG_20201209_162627720.thumb.jpg.18d6a8bce56154ae4096c28506f7821a.jpg

I also spotted the rather rare PCL(Power Cable Lifter) in one corner of the property. You need to look for vertical strands of 8 gauge wire, anything less than 8 gauge and they'll not attach and grow into their desired size. (here he is! Isn't he a beauty eh!)

IMG_20201209_161941638.thumb.jpg.f730014be1c56347ebb09f2e20c26168.jpg

Sadly, when I went back to make an attempt at measurements and tabulating empirical data I found that they had bolted, shot through like a Bondi tram.

Still at least I got these pics as proof that cable lifters are real, they exist, just like the Night Parrot and a good song by Celine Dion...   and they're not to be scoffed at by cynics and doubters.

* Please no PM's inquiring where these pics were taken as I'm sworn to secrecy and the farmer doesn't want hordes of nutters from the audiophile world  tearing his place to bits searching for cable lifters.

Did you spot any of those elusive "Glitter Turds" @Luc ?

Funny you should say that Lord Eggstrom as I'm kitting up for an expedition that I'll be undertaking in the near future to discover if there is in fact such as a place as the Glitter turds graveyard, similar to the elephants fabled dying place but a lot smaller and rather brightly spangled and glitterry.

I know you have in fact photographed them at one stage. Maybe you could post a pic?

They're such a sensible addition to the audiophiles system. Can you remind me of their actual name that they are marketed under? Isolaters or something aren't they?

This is the description of them from the mob that sell them

Introducing Audio Magic's new CE Generators (Clean Energy Generators).

As we all know noise is getting worse and worse each year and it can be bad for your audio system as well as your health. Audio Magic's new generators are passive devices which you simply set on top of equipment, speakers, breaker boxes, anywhere EMI/RFI is a problem, which is everywhere.

The CE Generators simply absorb bad energy and convert it to good energy, you will feel better and your stereo system will sound a lot better, with better imaging, details, dynamics, and simply just sound a lot more realistic.

Available in different colors. Black/Silver, Black/Gold, Black/Blue

Excellent value at around 400usd for three of them.

No doubt I will be inundated with pm's about where to purchase them, the website is listed below

Not as much as the coast, it's getting big numbers but we've got another 2 days of forecasted 40-80mm so that's entering flood territory.

Thank you Duke Albumen for the quick response. Researchers at ANU's Rare Beasts and Mythic Creatures Dept and Bleak City's RMIT and their wonderfully named; SETI Dept(Search for Extra Thick Individuals) jokingly referred to amongst the Dept members as Thiccies...have donated various instruments and and OH+S sanctioned clothing to wear during the course of this expedition.

The only worrying factor in this whole enterprise is the text I received from the SETI's Director for R+D;

Dear Luc,

I hope you find the energiser bunnies useful but please remember that behind these Glitter Turds lies a far more worrying problem. What exactly passed these? Somewhere out there where you'll be exploring is an animal that is both colourful in it's ordure and also able to imbue it's droppings with CE Generators.

Please take care and report back with your findings and pictures as soon as you can.

Kind regards,

Terence Hugo Indigo Compton Bs,BA,(Hon),Professorial fellow and holder of the Chair at Trump University(Honorary)

Nearly everyone calls me THIC for short, a term of endearment I've been told.

Good weather for glitter turds, they should be springing up everywhere (if you know where to look)

Brilliant product with great reviews, so I  think I will buy a set for my wife to put around her pony tail so it has more good energy and keep the noise down.

Cheers, Rob

That's clearly a northern hemisphere model. Do they make them for us southern hemisphere dwellers?

Just like horses, the wild untamed lifters need to be 'broken in'.

*although some "deniers" say that horses don't actually break in, you just get used to the sound of their neighing

Scotty from Marketing just wet himself.

Speaking of which, how is the deluge in your parts? You've certainly been cursed with interesting times these last twelve months.

As for the cable lifters, the $36 option from ebay would work for me if I had the certificate of authenticity. Seems to me that when buying second-hand, they should be properly run in. Thanks for doing the research, I have learned a lot. A shame you didn't mention wearing suitable protective gloves when removing them from their nests, or using pliers with insulated handles. I haven't had so much fun since the time I discovered the power of Direct Current on mid-range drivers.

Simon!      I think you've nailed it. I've got some little nieces coming for Xmas and I'll make sure they bring these. Will feed them up and let them graze out back on the lawn. I'll have to trademark the name and I'll employ you as creative director for the new company.

Anything with 'Byron' in the name will sell oodles to 'influencers' and  audio-fools fellows like Lord Albumen who inhabit Bleak City, Marc will buy some for sure.

'Byron Turds' will get us tagged as haters on social media and wont look good in a google search result.

'Byron Glitter Droppings' Hmm, not too shabby.

'Rainbow Region Unicorn Pats' as in cow pats.

'Byron Bay Enhanced Audio Sphincter Bits'™,  ...They're glittery 'n neat an add to the beat!

Yeah baby!!

Start developing an app too, Simon.

Ka-ching!

Taking a lead from that other "droppings" based company, Schiit, I think there is an opportunity here.

I suggest Glitter Tuurds ..
