Selling a pair of QED Signature Series Genesis Silver Spiral Speaker Cable in 1.5m.

Superb speaker cables and I am a big fan of QED cables. (I have QED interconnect SE and Balanced and love them).

I like this speaker cables a lot in terms of sonic characteristics but it is a bit too thick to my liking. I personally prefer thin filmsy flat cable so getting Tellurium Flat cable and letting this awesome thick pipe cables to go to someone who will make most of it.

Shipping is included in  the price anywhere in Australia.

QED Genesis Silver Spiral Speaker Cable

QED's flagship speaker cable. The award winning Genesis Silver Spiral cable is the result of over 40 years of scientific research and development into speaker cables.

Silver Spiral’s exceptionally low resistance allows amplifiers to exert outstanding grip and control over the speakers they’re driving, especially at low frequencies. This isn’t just another speaker cable it’s a high performance audio component .This cable represents the culmination of QED research and development over the past 40 years.

Aircore Technology™

QED cables above 2.5mm2 cross sectional area utilise air core technology to obviate the skin effect by bundling several separately insulated smaller cores together to make up a larger CSA. If these conductors are arranged around a hollow central core of polyethylene the self inductance exhibited by the cable can be reduced to around half that predicted by calculation.

The Genesis Report

Silver Spiral’s exceptionally low resistance allows amplifiers to exert outstanding grip and control over the speakers they’re driving, especially at low frequencies. This isn’t just another speaker cable it’s a high performance audio component.

The Genesis Report shattered many of the myths and misconceptions surrounding cable design and established the sound scientific principles to which all our current cables conform. Genesis Silver Spiral is the core of such thinking. It is, above all, sonically accurate. Transparent and neutral. Silver Spiral’s exceptionally low resistance allows amplifiers to exert stunning grip and control on the speakers they’re driving, especially in the bass. Transient response is improved, overhang virtually eliminated. The drivers spend more of their time converting the signal.

This isn’t just another speaker cable but a high performance audio component. It could just be the most cost-effective upgrade you ever make.

Construction

Starting from the inside, Genesis Silver Spiral comprises two grouped bunches of conductors. Each Group is made up of nine individually insulated silver plated 99.999% Oxygen Free Copper cores twisted around two central fillers (one red, one white) in QED's special spiral geometry to minimise sound-degrading "proximity effect".

Silver Plated OFC provides greater conductivity than copper alone and delivers superb resolution and delicacy, especially when used as part of a high end system. All elements of the dielectric, including the thin, low density conductor insulation, are Polyethylene (a material with a low dielectric constant and an ability to dramatically reduce signal leakage).

The grouping geometry reduces inductance between conductors, thus minimising field effect distortions. Aluminium mylar tape separates the twisted conductors and the translucent PVC jacket provides a tough protective flexible outer cover.
