pete_mac Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 (edited) Further information: For sale is a lovely HSU Research STF-2 10" subwoofer. HSU are highly regarded and a competitor with SVS in the 'bang-for-bucks' stakes in subwooferage land. Dr Poh Hsu (owner and lead engineer/designer) delivers well engineered and fantastic sounding products. There are numerous reviews of this sub on the internet. This sub is capable of deep, clean bass which suits both music and home theatre use alike. I used the sub in a 3.6m x 6m room to great effect. This isn't a cheap, boomy sub, that's for sure. The amp is a 200WRMS/800W peak BASH unit which has been FULLY recapped. This is important, as over time, the BASH amps are known to slowly kill the capacitors which are typically cheap caps from third-tier manufacturers, and manufactured to a price point. This amp now features Panasonic, Nichicon and United Chemicon 105 degree, Japanese-made, long life caps throughout. In my opinion, it's effectively BETTER than new from a performance and reliability standpoint. Cosmetically the sub is in great condition, with a few minor scuffs on the lower front edge of the enclosure. It's only visible in certain light. All of the specs are shown below, and in the attached user manual Pick-up only from Gledswood Hills, south-western Sydney. Sorry, no shipping.
