Jake Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 48! Wow, I think I'll stick to Spotify. I can't really imagine ever streaming over 3g anyway.
GPK Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 I stream over 3G all the time. In the car. At the gym. Walking around. Not the best quality but very convenient.

Not the best quality but very convenient.I guess that solves the problem of storage doesn't it. As well as opening up the entire world of music.Someone on here had a battle with Telstra over Mog and download limits while on a business plan. Who was that and what was the result, does anyone know? I am on a BP and it would be nice to know I could stream on 3g without penalty (despite my previous comments about not needing it).
Satanica Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 48! Wow, I think I'll stick to Spotify. MOG over Mobile can easily be changed to 320 kbps in the settings of the application.
kesa32 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 l just use playlists in "offline" mode in my car etc via my iphone usb
automated Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 MOG over Mobile can easily be changed to 320 kbps in the settings of the application. I've just re-activated my Mog account (I previously tried it out on the trial) and the switch for "High Qlty Cell Streaming" is greyed out and cannot be turned on in iPhone Mog app. Any ideas?

I activated it some time ago on my android phone but then just went to the basic $6.99 home plan. I'll upgrade to the full $11.99 plan and let you know how I go if someone else doesn't.

automated Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Just got MOG for my Android phone again and was able to switch on both the High Quality Streaming and the High Quality Downloads options. On the iPhone app there is 3 options, - High Qlty Cell Streaming - High Qlty Wifi Streaming - High Qlty Downloads For some odd reason the first option is greyed out, I wonder if its a Telstra thing.
Jake Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 Mog only streams @ 48kbps over mobile. Period. The 320 option is only for wifi.

Guest Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Jake just get spotify - you are over thinking this :-)
murrmax Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I like the fact mog hasn't sold out to fbook and that more obscure and indie music seems to be available or pink floyd
Jake Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 Jake just get spotify - you are over thinking this :-)Bollocks Thiing! Mog streams at 320! I will keep spotify free version on the pc so you can educate me.
buddyev Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Seems like these services aren't much better piracy for musos. http://www.theage.com.au/entertainment/music/radioheads-thom-yorke-joins-chorus-of-complaint-over-spotify-pandora-20130716-2q1f0.html

Juicester Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 tried the 30 day free trial with spotify and really liked it and now am on the premium package. cant believe how much music is out there in the world +1 with me
andrewhollo Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 On the 30 day Premium trial now, and it might be hard to decide which one to cancel. Why cancel one? Why not run two subscriptions for a while and see which one suits you best? I run both Mog and Pandora - they're sufficiently different that I keep them both: the former for when I want to choose; the latter for when I want someone else to choose. Andrew
SimplifiedLife Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Spotify is tempting. I'm currently using Pandora for those times when you want background music, but you don't want to overplay your favourites. The high quality spotify might be a better alternative with more variety. How strong does the internet connection need to be for spotify to not skip on the 320kbps ogg?

How strong does the internet connection need to be for spotify to not skip on the 320kbps ogg? Not terribly in my experience. Works fine with a weak wifi signal and also on the mobile phone. I don't think 320kbps is a stretch for many connections these days. 1
AudioAddict Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Just do it Randle. I've been on Spotify premium for a year now: love it. I've discovered lots of really cool artists that I would not have otherwise. It has really enhanced my music experience. 3
wolster Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Another Spotify every day user here. I found that the more you use it and develop play lists and radio stations built around favourite artists, the more enjoyable it becomes. 2
