I've had the Darbee for a LONG time, going back to DTV forum days where I got it in a group buy. Looks like it suddenly just died! No power coming to the unit. I tested it with another power supply and still nothing. Not sure there is anything I can from here is there? Can you even buy these anymore? A quick google didn't bring up any retailers here. Will miss this thing on my VT65 & gaming etc.

This looks good for future development considering the FPGA architecture as used by Lumagen ; as well as maybe a cheaper dynamic HDR solution in the future as they mention nits :) Its been long promised -a 4k version.. will the lumagens with darbee get a new firmware  if compatible?

The industry has been relentlessly increasing image quality factors like pixel resolution, color depth, dynamic backlighting, and nits, which are all welcome.

Thanks! Wow, definitely getting up there $$ wise.

Might try to find a 2nd hand of the original as only need it for my 1080p plasma.

I have an Epson 8300 projector but not sure if this would provide much improvement on it? Unless it does have some options for dynamic HDR/tone mapping which could be interesting!
