Further information:

Rare black faced Sansui AU Amp which was in production I think for only around 6 months...

I preferred the sweeter sound of the 819 over the 919 model and plus the 819 has the additional 'magical' loudness switch installed...

240 VOLT...Excellent condition...NLR because I have dipped the toe into Valve Amps....

Kept in a smoke free environment...has very faint marks on the right hand side see pics...

No greasy fingerprint marks/stains on the black face-plate...very pristine...condition is everything with these Sansui...

Prefer local pick-up as to avoid the double boxing hassle/expense and problematic delivery by post/courier...

Rare and very desirable. Just ask Pete Mac  and @skippy124 (yeah I know Pete's dad doesn't get here much but ...)

 AU-117, AU-217, AU-317, AU-417, AU-517, AU-519, AU-710, AU-717, AU-719, AU-819, and AU-919 they all pop up occasionally but this one the 819 I reckon is the rarest of the rare, a bit like the Au-6900 but rarer.

Sellers got absolute rocks in his head and usually I'd advise a Bex and a good lay down but he seems determined to sell something he'll never have again(I've been down that track). I remember when he gushingly informed the Sansui lovers here that he had procured an 819...bastard! I thought , but then good onya.

Can't believe your selling it.

Can't comment on price but I'm guessing it's a pretty generous ask. Go look at Hi-Fi shark and rover eBay and see if you can find  a recent sale of one, you'll be lucky.

Agreed 100% re: the rarity... the 819 is the only model that we don’t have in the collection thus far.

She’s a very special amp!
