Further information: This amplifier, handmade in Victoria, Australia by Earle Weston, is in beautiful, unmarked condition and sounds absolutely wonderful. It has upgraded power valves, those being Genalex reissue Golden Lion KT77s. Outputting 33W per channel of warm, sumptuous class A / class A/B sound. I have been its careful and fastidious owner since it was built for me in 2014. Comes with original manual and power cord (though sorry, not the cords or interconnects pictured).

An excellent amp at a bargain price. I wish I could justify buying it, but I already have one of Earle's amps, so I  heartily recommend this to anyone who wants to get into tubes.

I have run el34's in mine and there really is no lack of power, 33 watts is plenty enough with 91.5 dB sensitivity speakers to get very loud and still well controlled.

Looks and sounds beautiful.

It's a testament to the quality of these that I already have one and am genuinely tempted to buy another for a second system.

Anyone with speakers 6 ohms + who is sitting on the fence should just do it. I'm currently running mine with NS-1000Ms and it sounds fantastic.

Lovely amp. Have 2 others (Tweaker MkIV and Tempest), which I absolutely adore. The tube rolling options on these are wonderful.

Just clarifying for others there appears to be the 8ohm tap. How many hours would you say are on the tubes (rectifier, KT77's and 6SL7's)?

GLWTS. ?

There would be a couple to a few hundred hours on the KT77s. I had them on another system before this amp. The preamps and rectifier tubes would be under a hundred hours as I’ve rolled various alternatives through those sockets. Cheers Phil
