Pretty uninspiring stuff.

Far too much time spent talking about what the mastering guy does (which actually left a bad impression) and just reading off an idiot sheet.

They could have showed the apps and talked about the subscription tiers.

Would have been far better to get a music enthusiast with a bit of passion to make the delivery. Looked like those guys prepared for 20min.

Let's hope Qobuz has some more substance behind it.

Just signed up. My next challenge will be to figure out how to convert my Roon playlists which have mixed local and Tidal tracks into Qobuz. I tried simply signing out of Tidal and the files simply became unavailable. I find it mind boggling that Roon doesn't simply change this to whichever version is available.  :(

Does this approach help?

I'll have to give it a try at 10 tonight. Looking forward to not seeing the Tidal track is loading slowly message.

I really need to figure out how to get Roon working on TrueNAS. Would probably solve a host of problems.

I think this thread over on the roon forums discusses this. Not sure there is a solution yet though.

I don't think there is a solution yet. Just amazes me that Roon doesn't take care of this. It really shouldn't matter where a track resides. It should find a copy and play it.

I wish I could use the Qobuz app to control my Node, not the other way around. BluOS is far less user-friendly.

As far as I can tell, you can only airplay/Bluetooth/Chromecast to other devices from the qobuz app, which my Primare i32 doesn't accept. I'd be happy to hear that I'm wrong if anyone knows different. The Tidal app can be used to "talk" to the Node, but iirc that feature only came within the last year in an update, so it may become available in qobuz at some point.

Anyone plan to start a family plan and we can all join as a family member? That’s about $70 per person per year.

The Studio Premier subscription is available for $19.16/mo on the annual plan.

That's only about 64 cents a day for access to huge catalog of Hi-res music. Don't you think that's worth it?

Why not sign up for the free month and test it yourself?

well i will give qobuz a go on the one month trial,i managed to transfer my spotify catalogue  over to qobuz using the free tunemymusic app, took for ages and not quite what i was expecting,i find the qobuz layout and usability  is miles away from the convenience of spotify,to me all the other music streamer platforms could learn a thing or two about user friendly spotify, just wish they would hurry up and start streaming in a higher quality audio format.

Just wondering what you find about the Spotify GUI that is "miles away for convenience"?

I've been a spotify Premium user for years - for family, car and OTG convenience - but just shrug when people say the interface is so great.

I suppose I'm used to Roon and Spotify just seems pared back and boring.

Lesson learned, never subscribe to anything through the Apple App Store if you can do it directly

I am rather disappointed.   For some strange oddball reason, the qobuz iOS app doesn’t stream when in CarPlay mode.  It only plays downloaded or imported music.

50% of my listening is done in the car and I can’t stream.  Basically I need to keep tidal to stream music in my car.

not very good.

I currently subscribe to tidal and have paid for a year upfront with qobuz.  Who would’ve thought that an app cannot stream when connected to the CarPlay module.

So do  I keep my services.  I was really hoping to ditch tidal but looks like I have to keep it.

FWIW, after cancelling my Tidal subscription yesterday they emailed me and said I could re-join at $17.99/mo for the next 12 months. So they undercut Qobuz by about a $1 /mo .

Won't be taking up the offer though as Qobuz just seems a better fit for me.
