Do you trust the Dynamic Range data that you get from Roon about discs you have in your ripped library?

Roon says I have a couple of discs with a DR of 5, which seems unlikely?

What CDs? Look them up on the DR LOUDNESS site.

I don’t use Roon ( yet ) , but the DR has always been spot on with

the dr loudness site. Wish I knew about it before I bought downloads

from sites like HD Tracks.

It was Dire Straits' eponymous first album.

I looked it up on dr.loudness-war, and found an entry with matching serial no. and bar code: they say dynamic range of 11-13 depending on track. So the Roon info is MILES off.

Unless the K50 rips it badly, which seems highly unlikely.

Does anyone have any theories as to why HEOS doesn't support Qobuz? I see posts asking for this going back for years and yet still nothing. Apparently not even on the roadmap. What gives?

I'm getting a lot of tracks not currently available from Qobuz.  Anyone know what's going on? I'm a Sublime subscriber.

I'm having the same issues through Roon - thought it was a Roon issue, but seems it's Qobuz itself.

If anyone is having issues inside Roon with Qobuz, there was a Roon update earlier in the week that addresses some of the current issues.

I'm on a beta release of Roon.... Hmmm.

I'm out on the road this afternoon so will try native Qobuz then to see if issues persist.

These "Qobuz" issues dont seem to be affecting everybody. Both Roon and native Qobuz working with no issues here. 🤞

I use Roon. It doesn't seem like a Roon issue because Roon issue is usually that it takes too long to load or is stuck. The error says track not currently available after i play the lead track. I'll try resetting Roon and see if that works.

I've been playing locally files from my NAS through Roon with no issues, so can only surmise it is an intermittent or localised CDN issue with Qobuz.

Are you in the Roon 2.0 beta?

Yeah. I am forbidden from disclosing anything specific, which is fair enough, but I do think people are going to be quite happy with what is coming with regards to features.

Good to know thanks. There are bound to be Roon software issues when its another layer on top of so many services.

Everything is working again. Was probably a temporary Qobuz problem.

Hi all.  New Qobuz user here using the free one month trial.  Loving the Hi-res content especially coming from YT premium music which sounds really good on high quality but it's a whole new level with Qobuz hi-res.  Anyway, in the last week or so I noticed a lot of shortages and I had to go back to YT Music.  Is this a regular occurence with Qobuz?  Would like to support the company for what they are trying to do (take audio to the highest level) but not if it keep having shortages.  If they can't get this right let some other players do it better and they get my money.  Just my two cents.

I reckon I've had 2 outages in the last year including last week's issues which lasted about 5-6 hours all up.

I would not worry too much about it.

I’ve subscribed to qobuz since they started up in australia. I’ve not noticed any blackouts but I don’t listen 24/7.

I've also been with Qobuz since it launched in Aus.

Haven't noticed outages where I'm located in Victoria.

Maybe its a local issue or something with your ISP? Are you listening via wifi or on an ethernet connection?

Twelve months with Qobuz Sublime - no streaming outages that I can recall, have downloaded 30+ albums and only once had a single track fail - reported it and they sent me a $10 voucher (cost of that single track was only $3) within 24 hours. SQ and service are great from my experience.

These are my simple tips as an original Qobuz subscriber, and recovering digital idiot.

Apologies if you know all this already...I didn't, in the beginning.

Sydney N. Beaches area. Aussie Broadband. No Qobuz outages or serious glitches, BUT the quality of your internet connection is paramount: I have not looked back since installing a 3-node mesh internet system in my house at the same time as subscribing. Also, pay attention to having a decently large buffer size in Qobuz settings--or you 'might' get stuttering at hi-res playback. I have set my Qobuz to 24/96 so I have a  'workable' buffer at all times (and because I can't distinguish it from 24/192 anyway).

However, since getting the Auralic Aries G1 streamer everything just works! Bliss...

My 2c worth.
