Just-get-the-best-drivers-and-put-them-in-a-box style. I was able to build this about 30 years or so ago, and I actually went a bit further by building individual enclosure for each driver (including the tweeter). Oh well that's me being spoilt with speaker choices and grumpy at work...Time to go to Irish pub. Happy St Patricks's day!! 2

Oh well that's me being spoilt with speaker choices and grumpy at work...Time to go to Irish pub. Happy St Patricks's day!! It always surprises me how simple some speakers can be and traditional boxy styles that get excellent reviews. They sound as good as or better than crazy expensive designs. The KLM 3 and 5 come to mind. Traditional boxy two way and three way designs (and cheap) yet get the praise of top reviewers. Who needs to send $330K on more. https://www.heynowhifi.com.au/products/klh-model-five-3-way-10-inch-acoustic-suspension-floorstanding-speakers Edited March 18, 2023 by mwhouston

It's only in the photo when you are looking at it - it's not there otherwise! 2 4

Richard Tremain Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 There is something about MARANTZ gear that just gets to me, possibly it is just nostalgia. 2
