muon* Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Testosterone influences various aspects of the human body, including: muscle mass bone density hair growth and distribution sex drive, also known as libido reproductive tissue health in females ******** and penis growth in males Does this mean we will need to in future refer to you as "Big Boy"

Expand From Healthline.com In fact, testosterone supplements might cause more problems than they solve. Studies have suggested a connection between supplements and heart problems. One found that some men over age 65 had increased heart problems when they used testosterone gel (13Trusted Source, 14, 15). Another study involving a group of men under 65 who had a history of heart problems and a group of heart-healthy older men showed that both groups had a greater risk for heart attacks when taking testosterone supplements (16Trusted Source). Furthermore, while there are contradictory findings, the use of testosterone replacement therapy may increase your risk for prostate cancer and cardiac issues (17, 18, 19Trusted Source). Side effects Like other supplements and medications, testosterone therapy comes with risks and possible side effects. This is particularly true if you try to take it for normal aging rather than to treat a condition. The effects that these supplements may have on your heart and prostate can lead to some potential issues. Expand Yeah, I grew up in the Wimmera (NW VIC). Same attitude. Dad was a builder & painter. Had to retire at 63 reluctantly because a shoulder was gone, but kept very active in one way or another. John0001 Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 (edited) Just a suggestion but have you looked at trying a low carb zero sugar (aka Keto) diet? (When I first became a Type 1 diabetic, 37 years ago, I experimented with the effect of different alcohols. Normal red or white wine doesn't seem to spike my bsl - beer otoh is dynamite! Obviously port & sauturnes are not good - unless I take an extra shot of insulin, beforehand - but I do have a G&T at the end of the day if I find I need a sugar hit before dinner (due to mismatching my lunchtime insulin injection with the carbs that I had for lunch) ... the Tonic has loads of sugar!)
