That was exactly my experience, I cut out all sugar, lowered carbs down to ~30-50gm/day and went from 93Kg/26% body fat down to 75Kg/12%. For people who are insulin resistant this really does turn things around, and quite quickly. But yeah.. no beer unfortunately... ðŸ¤”

G'day all, keto is 'interesting' but a worry for me due to the tendency for high fat to be present.  As it presently stands, my general diet is high protein, low fat and low carbohydrate and that seems to be optimum for me!  Regards, Felix.

Only early 40's here..... It's the back and joints that give me grief, and to think I'm not even half way there yet....

Just wait until you're 920 like Keith then you'll know what grief is ðŸ¤£

Look on the bright side, butterflies get 3 days.

The average life span even 200 years ago was about 35. You got a tooth infection, your days were numbered without medicine.

Imagine the agony people went thru back then, bugger that for a joke.

How much are we talking about??

My mentor used to say that getting old is "when everything hurts, but that's OK! Because, what doesn't hurt--doesn't work!"....😔

Getting old is fine considering the alternative

Aye, one of my ex's didn't quite make it to 20. Messed me up when it happened, and the thought still saddens me.

They do say that "only the good die young".  Well, maybe they don't all say it, but Billy Joel certainly did.  Herein lies another advantage of growing old.  You don't have to be "good" anymore.  And the time you get REALLY old, say 70 or more like me, you can get away with all kinds of increasingly questionable behaviour.  :zorro::hyper::angel:

xD Not so sure about getting away with all kinds of increasingly questionable behavior....but getting both ignored and over looked in questionable behaviour mode is a great get out of Jail card...:hyper::)
