John0001 Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 That was exactly my experience, I cut out all sugar, lowered carbs down to ~30-50gm/day and went from 93Kg/26% body fat down to 75Kg/12%. For people who are insulin resistant this really does turn things around, and quite quickly. But yeah.. no beer unfortunately... 1
catman Posted May 31, 2021 Author Posted May 31, 2021 G'day all, keto is 'interesting' but a worry for me due to the tendency for high fat to be present. As it presently stands, my general diet is high protein, low fat and low carbohydrate and that seems to be optimum for me! Regards, Felix. 1

oztheatre Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 haha, yeah I think Keith's secret was to hang upside down like a bat each night to get the blood flowing. not kidding he used to do this apparently, with the whole gym boot thing going on. He is a miracle lol
MattyW Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 Keith looked old when he was young.... Then he sort of stayed the same

brumby Posted June 1, 2021 Posted June 1, 2021 They do say that "only the good die young". Well, maybe they don't all say it, but Billy Joel certainly did. Herein lies another advantage of growing old. You don't have to be "good" anymore. And the time you get REALLY old, say 70 or more like me, you can get away with all kinds of increasingly questionable behaviour. 1 3
