Hoping to check out so stores in Perth while I'll be in town.

I see there is Frank Prowse, Douglas HiFi, quite a few West Coast HiFis - Malaga being the closest one to where I will be staying this trip and an Addicted to Audio which by the Google Maps pics looks a lot better than what the Newtown NSW branch used to be. Seems it has been reno'd too though.

Is there any others to check out?

Thanks

Not sure what you're after. If just a browse to see audio in general add:

Surrounds (used to be Surround Sounds)

StoreDJ/Mannys - recommend a dive into their basement room to demo the studio active monitors.

Thank you

Looks like they have some good stuff. Will try get there too

Have been to Mannys and StoreDJ here in Bris. Their monitors are a bit limited in Bris so might check them out there if I have time. Would like to hear the Core Dynaudios and higher end JBLs too

Malaga WC Hifi is okay with emphasis on H/T gear

Midland WC hifi probably have the best range for stereo.

Frank prowse and Douglas hifi are very good. Surrounds have some nice gear

A2A in leederville have big range of headphones and daps and good rsnge of stereo gear.

It’s  all closed in Leederville now Dave, much bigger store in Subi though, may take a while to set up although it’s nearly a month since I dropped in there,

So I only had a little time between running around yesterday to check out some places.

I went to West Coast in Midlands thanks @cafe67. Neven there was very enthusiastic and they had some great stuff.

I finally had a chance to hear the Audio Research Gsi75 and was totally amazed. In just a quick demo it was doing everything right with a huge soundstage. They are selling it at a very good price.

Had a quick listen to some Fyne Audio 703s and Fyne impressed again. Previously I though the Fyne were a bit bass shy or maybe difficult to set up but the bass performance in their room was very good, nothing lacking whatsoever. I hope to own some Fynes one day soon. I also had a quick listen to the new Cambridge Audio 75 and 150. They were on some mid level Sonus Faber's with the 75 on bookshelves and the 150 on the floorstanders. Not sure why but the 75 sounded a little harsh and vocals we a bit of the classic class d sound. The 150 with the equivalent floorstanders was just beautiful. High end sound with good looks, a remote worthy of hifi prices and a very nice screen. I will seriously be looking at one of these. Not sure why the 75 was a bit off, maybe not run in or something?

Later I met Simon at Douglas Hifi who was run off his feet but still very accommodating. Extremely knowledgeable and cool to chat with. Some very, very nice gear in there. Hopefully I get some more time to have a proper listen to those Gryphons soon.

Will have to make time to get to the others while I'm working over this way

@Pops110sorry mate I didn't get enough time to meet up but will plan it better another time.

No worries mate, next time for sure. I’m crook as a dog today  so wouldn’t have been a good time anyway.

Hopefully have a few more goodies here by then. 😁

@Pops110

I did a little reading on the new Cambridge Evos. In addition to the different wattage the dac is different between the 2 so would explain why I much preferred the 150.

Hope this might help anyone considering them
