So while I had bit of time up my sleeve, I swapped my Elite off my preamp for the plain cable I had feeding my Sirius, had to use a Sequel off my CDP to Preamp, and its true, use your best cable to feed your Strip/Conditioner, so I now have the Optimum from Power Amp direct to wall, Elite feeding Sirius and a Sequel as a Source cable sharing CDP and Phonostage (swapping between the two as required), now have to decide whether to get another Elite for the Pre or will a Sequel be good enough...

Good to hear.

I have the Sirius and sequel cables to integrated amp and phono stage.

So you don’t plug your power amp to the Sirius, just straight to the wall?

I have considered upgrading cables?

Yes, straight to wall, I’d suggest plugging your Integrated direct to wall with a Sequel, feed the Sirius with a Sequel, if you have a 3rd Sequel for phonostage? Hear how it sounds, if no better can always put back, the micro details are what your listening for, reverb tails on Vocals, cymbal decay, harmony/backing vocal standing out more, extra pick attack on guitars, a little more detail in the sound stage, before you change it around pick one of your favourite albums or songs give it a listen, change around, listen to the same thing again, hear if anything pops out, happy listening

Joining in , I have a Sirius strip with Nordost red dawn pc from  the wall to the strip and from the strip to the CD player and phono. The TT is connected to the strip via oem p/cable. The integrated amp is feed by red dawn direct from wall socket.

cafe67, how would you describe the differences the PC made in your system, I mean you’ve left them in situ, so must of been for the better?

Cool! I’ll give it a try.

I have a sequel feeding all 3.

Cheers!

Hiya, it’s a tricky one to answer I changed all the cables over to Nordost so it wasn’t just one at a time. I have over the top e tried a few power cables (isotek , analysis plus , audio principe and now Nordost) - juries still out on difference to sound.
