andrewkb Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 Now that DVD players are so common, with most people owning more than 1 set ... My LD player had been disconnected and sitting in a corner of the TV rack for quite a while ... What do you guys do with your old LD player ?
Norman_Chan Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 My spoiled LD player is collecting dust and waiting for the right owner to come by ... ;D ;D ;D
Guest dizzy_d Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 Guys Is it a Pioneer LD player ? I may be keen to collect. Cheers
limos Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 I am still using my Pioneer DVL-909 for LDs and sometimes musics. :)
WK Posted March 23, 2002 Posted March 23, 2002 Imagine I bought my first Pioneer LD Player for about $800 and now is a white elephant will those LD discs taking up so much of my space. BTW, how much can we fetch for such players in the market ?

tcw Posted March 24, 2002 Posted March 24, 2002 I saw some old LD Players between $50 to $100 selling at Cash Converters. BTW, for those who intend to sell, better advertise in ClassAds. Cash Converters takes old LD Players, VCD Players & VCR Players at around $10 to $15 ($15 is for very good condition).
domj Posted March 25, 2002 Posted March 25, 2002 Where is Cash Converters? Is there one at Tampines? I might be wrong....thinking of getting one with AC3 RF out instead of modding my old one. Maybe cheaper this way.

Maybe cheaper this way. yes...Tampines had one Cash Converter store the last time i was there. But nearer the city, there is another Cash Converter store at Marine Parade, near the kiddie ride playground. Cheers, ;)

Maybe cheaper this way. There is also a Cash Converter at Toa Payoh MRT. Just walk up the escalator, turn right, and its very near the first row of shops. Actually, the Tel Directory would be of greater help - why don't you guys just give them a tel call, and they will tell you the exact location of their 3 shops. :)
domj Posted March 28, 2002 Posted March 28, 2002 Toa Payoh? Okie, that's much nearer to me than Tampines. Thanks for the help.
Phil1624705739 Posted July 10, 2002 Posted July 10, 2002 My LD is now a CDP in my room... I might bring back 2 active duty if I get a separate stereo system. Phil
