1 Q...

Seems like u r shifting ya speakers 4 AV or music purpose.. true?

Plus will e center be affected since there r so many gears in front of it?

Phil

yes,i am using my ensemble silver ref. for both AV and music.

mnnn...i believe most of us have to do tis,put all hifi gear at the centre of the spk....IMO it is better than putting the hifi gear at side and thenusing very long RCA cable connecting the pre and power amp.

Nice pics Jo, is the screen shot real???

hehehe....finally someone ask about tis screen shot pic.... ;D

yes,the image is from projector but i combin it with a room shot...

Posted

Jo,

Do u feel the equipment display lights and LEDs distract you from the image?

Anyway, I suspected the screen shot was tailored. Ambient lights so bright that can cast shadows on the walls........ unlikely the screen image can still maintain contrast!...

Cool trick! ;D

Jo,

Do u feel the equipment display lights and LEDs distract you from the image?

hi jag,

i can put the screen all the way down to cover some of the LEDS....

but by that way i need to use the keystone funtion of my projector......as its already only 1 1/2 feet on top of my head,i cant /dont want to place the projector any lower...

what is your suggestion?black masking tape??

:)

Posted

Black masking tape is ugly...... furthermore, IR signals will be blocked.

I use color gels (colour filters) to block out the display lights. Eg, if the display is RED (like SCV box), I use a blue filter and it'll cut down the RED display to a less distracting level.

I don't have a problem with LEDs, since I can modify the resistor value to dim the LEDs down.
