Any Extron VGA cable owner here?

Bought a 25ft Extron VGA cable at $110 (excl GST). Hooked it up from Shinco 8700PS to AE-100. Straight away can tell difference. The picture is sharper and brighter!! Can't wait for the cable to run in..

 

Brothers who buy the panny might want to consider this VGA cable. Do not estimate the power of cables!! This is one tweak one should consider. There is also a 15ft VGA cable selling $95 (excl GST).

 

Will other owners of Extron cable (I'm sure there's few out there) share their experience?

There are quite a number of vga cables sold by them. I am interested to get a 35ft. Which model did you get and where?

I have hand-made a few of this thick Canare cables for members of this forum. $183 for 25 ft.

 

Performance of video cables depend on the shielding,, atttenuation, resistance and its correct 75 ohm impedance.

Extron is not a known cable maker. But they sell lots of interface boxes for the display market.

 

Most off the stock VGA cable cannot be thicker than this, as the HD15 Connector is the limitation to secure the cable.

Sorry brothers, but I don't have good camera. Using a lousy camera will not do justice to the cable and the panny.

 

I bought the cable from one of the dealer, Domus Integration (www.domus.com.sg). Extron Electronic has office in Singapore but can only buy through dealer.

 

The code for 15ft is 26-238-02 and 25ft is 26-238-03. There's no standard 35ft length. The nearest is 50ft 26-238-04.

 

You can visit the Extron website (www.extron.com) or do a search on the cable using the code no. The cable is thinner than the picture shown in the link provided by CH_Yeow, but the quality is definitely good.

I had called Extron today. They have stock for VGA M 35FT MHR, model number 26-238-16. Though their website does not show this model. Recommended retail price is US$96.00.
