Hi,

I just bought a Philips DVD Q50 (S$800 w GST, good deal?) and I am planning to buy a Panasonic TX-29P150X to go with it. Anyone has this combination sitting at home? Care to comment on this. Went to Best Denki 3 times last week to look at it. Doesn't seem to get any good ideas as the video source for the TVs there came from a common source and does not look extraordinary to me. Are the progressive mode for the DVD and TV producing nice pics? Lastly anyone has any good idea where is a place to get the TV cheap and at what price? You can email me that if not too comfy of posting it here.

Thanks a lot.

I have a Q50 and a TX-29P300X. The progressive display is very good on the Panasonic. Should be similar for the TX-29P150X. You will get a better price if you buy your TV from your neighbourhood electrical store. Panasonic TAU GIGA series of CTVs are probably the only direct view TVs currently available locally that's proven to support both PAL and NTSC progressive displays from the Q50.
