pschia Posted May 25, 2002 Posted May 25, 2002 I don't think it is worthwhile to use rechargeable batteries for equipment such as remote controls. The power consumption in remote controls is so small that even a cheap carbon-zinc battery would last for a year in most cases. Rechargeable batteries are good for high drain equipment like walkman, diskman, digital cameras, cordless phones, etc. Anyway, the best type of rechargeable battery to use is the Ni-MH type. There are many brands available on the market - Sony, Panasonic, GP, Eveready, etc. I usually go for those that have the highest storage capacity - up to 1800 mAh.
luff1624705743 Posted May 25, 2002 Author Posted May 25, 2002 Strangely my remote sucks my battery dry really quickly. To be precise it is York Air-con remote control. Perhaps lousy power circuitary design :P
