There one service guy(Allan) at Sim Lim Sq, at 3 floor. The shop name is Sigma Audio something like that. He charge quite reasonable for repair. Hope is will help you.

I believe it'll be better to get it done by authorised professionals. Go back to yamaha to service the product.

whatz wrong wif ur yamaha?

 

I think there is something wrong with the selector, the sound doesn't come out, sometime left or right or nothing. I have to touch the selector abit to get stereo.

Yours is a stereo amp, not an AV amp rite?........ must be quite old.......

 

Its a contact problem.... common with manual selectors that u describe. Wear and tear with such selectors will give problems after several years of use.

 

Perhaps if you're ambitious, u can even repair it yourself..... just clean the selector contacts inside lightly and try to improve the conductivity.

 

Even better, u can chage the selector yourself or go to one of the repair shops to do it for you.

Actually its an antique DSP A2070 :-[ Ok I will try and spray some contact cleaner on the selector and thanks again.
