All Samsung DVD Players sold here are region-free. Can also play RCE, D9s and MP3 discs. UOB offer is great, may get one myself.

Some things to note about this promo:

1. Annual fee: S$125

2. You must charge at least S$2000 over 3 months else $50 will be charged.

;D

That's a relief to hear that it can play region free and it can play D9s too .. thanks for the confirmation :)

I'm an existing member so I just need to pay $125 and top up with the uni points of 1500 and I get the dvd player ;)

If the RP is $329, you can expect SLS selling at $200+.

I see, so anyone can confirm the RP in sls ? ;)

Anyway, I have a bad experience buying electronic stuffs in sls .. so usually I refrain from buying there.. >:(

If a price quote is what you want, just call People's Audio (check tel directory for number). Their staff quite friendly, and will tell you over the phone.

Let us know when you confirm their price. :)

The higher model S228 sells in Safe for $305.

See Safe.

I think if you go to KEC or People's Audio, for sure even cheaper....

I guess nothing beats $125 for a dvd player ;)

Not surprising to me...nowdays DVD players are getting cheaper and cheaper.

Still remember my first DVD Player - Pioneer 515, that cost me $899 - 3 years ago but still working fine.

Aiyah.. that's nothing compared to the $1399 I paid for the Sony DVP-S700 5 years ago.. also working fine but heart very pain when now they are even going away free players. Sob :-[
