Jag Posted August 16, 2002 Posted August 16, 2002 shinco got some problem playing certain DVDs, including original DVDs my 8700 can't play "The best of Kitaro" R1! I suggest Pioneer or Toshiba...... (I prefer toshiba)
ebliu Posted August 21, 2002 Posted August 21, 2002 For your info,i think it is better to bring down the faulty dvd discs ,i mean hanged discs ,to try on the set u 1 to purchase.if it run perfectly you can purchase the unit.
Jag Posted August 21, 2002 Posted August 21, 2002 While testing oout on "hanged" disc makes sense, how about those dvds that play fine on ur old dvdp but hang in the new dvdp?
ebliu Posted August 21, 2002 Posted August 21, 2002 Well,u can also bring along the dvd discs that play well on the old dvd player and test out on the player.if it play perfectly the player is good.If it cannot play, test another unit of the same model ,it might play well because it depend on the sentivities and tolerance of the pickup laser head
