I recently bought a original HK R3 disc, but my low-end Pioneer 233 player can't read it (but can play other HK R3 discs). I then tried it on a Pioneer 525 in my office, but also cannot be played. However, the disc works fine on a Shinco 8100 and also on a PowerMac G4 DVD-rom. ???

Weird, I thought Pioneer players are usually quite reliable in playing all discs. Also, is it b'cos mebbe the 2 Pioneer players in question are fairly older models, and so they are not as diverse, in terms of playability, as their newer counterparts? Anybody with the similiar problems with their Pioneer players?

P.S. Was at Bishan today, where SAFE superstore had a Pioneer Booth on the ground floor. I had the particular dvd in my bag, and was tempted to take it out and try it on any of their players on display, but paiseh lah. Too crowded. Heh heh. Anyway, since I only have the 233 at home to play dvds, I am now stuck with a DVD that I so liked but cannot watch. :'(

I like July Rhapsody also, for one.

Karana Lam is cute 8)

I'm sorry that you can't play it.

For two, I'm using Pioneer 355, the latest entry level model from Pioneer. I've mentioned before in an older thread, can't play the D5 of Jan Dara.
