Jag Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 Some may have realised that Yamaha has just launched the new Yamaha DSP-AZ2 receiver. It sports 130Wx6, plus 2x25W for the front effect channels. This 8.1 AV amp is an exact replica of the USA's 3300 but without a tuner. (Thus called amp rather than a receiver) Looking at the user manual, it belongs more towards the x200/x300 class rather than the AZ1 in terms of features & implementation, but have AZ1's quality components. This model can be seen at the S&V show.
Guest joamonte Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 have you notice that every 2 year Yamaha will launch a new flatship, then a year later they will have a new second flatship(in tis case ,the AZ-2)..... its their traddition....so next year by this time,a new flatship that replace the AZ-1 should come out, lets watch.... :)
Jag Posted November 15, 2002 Author Posted November 15, 2002 At least they don't come out with new flagships every 12mths....... instant devalue of the flagships before its even launched. I'm just curious what the next gen of AV amps have that make today's obsolete.
