Uses Golden Promise, rye and Caramunich I, with Centennial, Cascade and Citra as the hop bill. Delicious. Nice work. Currently have a Bock and a Belgian dubbel going. 1
Saxon Hall Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Maybe it has already been mentioned but one I have been enjoying lately is Stone and Wood Brewing Co's Pacific Ale. It is a cloudy Ale which quite a few inner city pubs in Melbourne have on tap. Not normally too keen on this type of ale in the warmer weather but this is quite refreshing and thirst quenching ATM 4
caddisgeek Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Had some Prickly Moses saison on Christmas day, brewed here in the Otway. Bloody good drop 3
Iano Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Ooooh I tried that stuff last time we holidayed at Aireys Inlet! Loved it. Very hard to find up here but I might have another look in my local independent outlet, they have stacks of micro brews.
Darren69 Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 @@Iano Got a few to try when I get home, finished off with a few Little Creature Pilseners. 2
Cloth Ears Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 (edited) What has sugar, grains, yeast and water? Bread - or it's much healthier cousin, beer! I gotta do another brew, haven't done one since September '14 - and there's only 14 longnecks of one and 28 longnecks of the other left!!! [EDIT] These are not your average, run-of-the-mill beers that the girly-men like sipping on. No sir! 10.6%, dark as the ace of spades, and go hellishly well with spicy food as well as bitey and pongy cheeses. And by itself. It goes with meat, fish, any damn thing it wants to! (to quote Robin Williams) [/EDIT] Edited January 22, 2016 by Cloth Ears 2
Darren69 Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Have been enjoying Asahi Dry in the warmer weather.
The Fez Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 (edited) Very easy drinking beer..When I travelled quite a bit in Asia with work I remember drinking jugs of ice cold Tiger beer in Singapore Served from the tap into a chilled jug then the jug put into an ice slurry in a bucket. Drinking jugs of the stuff at night as the sweat drips off you in the relentless heat and humidity Edited February 6, 2016 by The Fez
shaky Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Today's swill: Actually not to bad for a pale ale, an imported one from the land of the long white cloud at that. 1
Pieface Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 A hoegaarden while the kids smash the waterslide. Relaxing if you can ignore the squealing 1

shaky Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Agreed. It isn't a bad drop for a warm summers day.
evil c Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) A new drop for me after a hard days yakka - Cricketers Arms IPA, very nice too with a smooth rich palate and at 5.8% alcohol up there with Coopers Sparkling. Edited February 26, 2016 by evil c 1

mwhouston Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I'm back on the Coopers Sparkling. I got s shock (though a pleasant one) that it is 5.8%! 2
MrHorsepower Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Been allowing myself one of these a week now for months...the result...ADDICTION Awesome beer from a great local brewery. Adelaide is very lucky to have several world class breweries...Pirate Life, Mismatch, Big Shed Brewing, Vale Brewing and Fox Hat Brewing, Brewboys, Prancing Pony (my local) and the list goes on... 3
The Fez Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 ^^ It's nearly enough to make one move to Adelaide......nearly 2
betocool Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 I have to join this thread. The wife got (from me, obviously) a "pass" to go and brew some beer at the local U-Brew-It. After some deliberation we settled on a Canadian Honey Ale. Jeezuz it's good! Dark in colour, and the honey rounds up the taste real nice. And since there's 150 bottles (ok, there were in the beginning) in the fridge, I find myself enjoying more than one bottle a day with the Missus. Next we'll probably go for a Dubbel like brew. How much I'm enjoying this! 3
Jake Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 I had a milk stout in Launceston last week that was just awesome. I'll have a beer and try to remember the name of it. 1
