blybo Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Had the above beer on tap whilst watching my team get smashed the other night at the Wye River Pub. Lovely. Now enjoying a couple waiting for my Webber pork roast to do its thing at the campsite 1
mwhouston Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 (edited) Currently in Hong Kong. Trying some different beers. All good so far. The Fullers was 5.9% but really didn't tast it. No head, real pommy style. Edited March 29, 2016 by mwhouston 1

Gee Emm Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Is it just me? I think it may be just me, but I really don't like ANY of the James Squires beers. 2
Jone5y Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Not just you. I know a few who won't touch them. I took quite a liking to one of the "hop thief" varieties (can't remember which number) for a short while and had a seasonal variety at one of their pubs in Brisbane recently but their garden variety stuff isn't for me.
analog brother Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 they used to be good, but now with tooheys involved and such high volumes, of course quality will eventually suffer.

It's craft beer for the masses but better than most of the crap you get in the average country pub. Wye River Hotel had a few good craft beers, the Pilsner I tried was SALT but can't find anything online about it. Edited March 30, 2016 by blybo

Yeah, I'm over it. It's all pretty ordinary. Little Creatures shits over it. And so does most decent craft beer. 3
Happy Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 One fifty lashes is ordinary but the American hop thingy is my fave. Easily trounces Little Creatures. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 1

mwhouston Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Touring through; Milan, Barcelona, Madrid and (currently in) Toledo. Have tried some astoundingly beautiful beers. But has anyone ever seen any of these Toledo beers in Australia? Only had one so far.

Darren69 Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 If in Tassie, boags wizard Smith ale is very yummy. So yummy that they don't share much with the mainland. 2
oldrose Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 I had one or two or three of these in the hotel in Moresby last night. I can at least get a decent beer up here.
