A pair of original ProAc Tablettes - possibly the finest bookshelf speaker made though don't ever use them on bookshelves!!

Cosmetically these speakers are tatty but the drivers work fine. The crossovers have been removed from the cabinets and reside in a seperate box. They have also been converted to run in bi wire/amped mode.

I will include the runs of OFC cable I used with these in the price which is a cheap as chips $175.

I went from the sublime to the ridiculous and replaced the little Tablettes with a pair of Linkman K9 speakers which are approx 1.5 metres tall and weigh in at 52 kilos each!!

These are of Chinese manufacture, are beautifully made and sound superb at least to my ears. I bought them on a whim after hearing a 3 minute demo through 1 speaker using a live Bee Gees DVD!!!

The Tablettes have done me proud over the last 20 years and do not owe me anything. I sold them to finance a purchase of a valve amp. I hope they have gone to a good home!!

Mike

PS Sorry I did not make it to the demo of your new speakers the other weekend Rob

Rest assured they have gone to a very good home. They will proudly sit atop a pair of IMF TLS50s (transmission Lines) cabinets while I await the drivers from the UK. They will then be part of my office system. Very much looking forward to their arrival!

wouldn't have thought you'd have enough room left in there Michael... ;-) Have you double checked you have enough amplifiers to hookup the new arrivals?

I sadly have to agree with you. I am a hoarder - but they say the first step is admitting to it!

Decided that I am going to clear out all but what I need save for a few classic items (NAD 3020, Pioneer A400 and the like) and sell the bulk of it. Need to invest in some more serious components - worked out I would have some respectable higher end components for what I have spent on the numerous vintage pieces. Just bought a very nice Apollo rack which I am getting away with, but there are now grumblings about the size of the transmission lines. Damn - those ProAcs will only make them look bigger!
